I have my hosting with you guys, and I love it, very easy to use, and have had no issues at all. I am currently doing some web design for an Australian business, and was wondering if there was any issue hosting a .com.au site using your servers. I figure we just need to set the name servers on the domain to your nameservers and everything else would be the same as for a .com address. Thanks for your assistance. |

Just want to let you know that I have moved all my hosting to your service. I will also eventually move all of my domain registrations also. Over time I will be using even more of your services.
As I will be doing a lot of traveling for work, I had made the decision to move all of my hosting off-site and reallocate our internal servers for other applications required for internal operations only. While I prefer to have total control over all operations in my environment, the associated costs of hiring extra staff and bandwidth exceed the cost of external solutions such as yours.
Originally I had decided on Network Solutions as they had been my registrar for many years now. One of the conditions that was required was the ability to host ASP.NET based applications. Of this I was assured when I signed up. However. once I began to move over these applications and encountered difficulties I was told that the ASP apps had to be located within the root folder. This would not only be very messy but hard to manage as the different applications require different DB access as well as different functionality defined in the web.config files. Claiming it is a security issue (what?) and as I had no access to their IIS CP to perform the 3 clicks needed to create the application I gradually worked my way up the management levels to try to get this changed. This 'feature' was not only totally unpublished ANYWHERE on their website, but a search on ASP or ASP.NET in their knowledgebase returned ZERO results.
I began looking for another provider immediately that would support my required functionality. There were a few that met my requirements, but as I was concerned that what I read may NOT be what I would get (after the previous experience), I e-mailed and/or called the various sales offices of these providers. The DailyRazor was the ONLY company that returned my request for information promptly. Actually the response was immediate even though the request was sent at 9pm (In fact I received NO replies to date from some providers.).
At that time I purchased a package and began to move things over and set-up the accounts. At around 3am I had a minor issue and e-mailed support. I was not expecting the reply for a while (which was reasonable), however I received and answer within minutes. On of the issues (very minor) was regarding a redirector (the control panel is amazing, but new to me and I did not know where everything was). They provided me with the answer but before I could do it I got another reply that they had done it for me.
I have ALWAYS disliked the idea of moving assets out of my direct control so this whole project (although the practical choice for many reasons) made me nervous. This whole move thing is the first time I have brough in external providers in over 20 years of doing this (of course 20 years ago...hehe)
For once I am glad to be wrong. I am VERY happy with the service and support you offer; beyond my expectations. I look forward to our continued business relationship.
PS Ryan was the sales guy that made this happen. I do not know the name(s) of the tech support team that was there at 3am May 3rd

By the way, the quality and speed of Daily Razor's technical support has exceeded my expectations on every issue since I signed up in 2005. It is beyond what I would expect for the price. I have another host (that I was using long before DailyRazor) for .asp and static sites, and while they are good, you are better. The only difference I see in the other host's favor is that their daytime system responsiveness seems a little better, although since the other host doesn't do Java or .jsp I can't say that I am comparing "apples to apples". Keep up the good work!! |
